Replaced him with some kid who just plugged the mic and guitar into the same powered speaker. One place I played cheaped out the open mic by getting rid of their sound guy/host.who actually had a mixer and knew how to use it. where I won't have any control over the amp settings. This guitar will be for playing out, mostly open mics. SO.I had no faith that even changing the piezo element would make this sound better (pretty much a cheap sonicore) or give me the control I wanted. Further.the way in which Fishman made the tone wheel control is such that it does not change the merely goes from flat EQ to higher bass and treb (which cuts the mids). No EQ adjustments or using the acoustic preamp I had, would do it. I just could not get it to sound the way I wanted to. cutting the connector and solder that to the Element battery wires. I am just going to go ahead and remove everything, except the battery box, which I will use. The piezo leads could be located and de-soldered. What I discovered was that the electronics board was labeled "Sonicore MX Rev 3." And that everything was hard wired to that board, except for the battery. I appreciate it.Īctually, being unable to find any information on this, yesterday, I ordered an LR Baggs Element, and took the Fishman MX electronics out of my D-10E.
